Local groups and schemes that help keep Colchester clean and green, and help unwanted things get reused rather than dumped. We’ve only listed organisations with a working website we could check. Details change, so always check the group’s own page before you go along.
Charity shops and furniture charities also accept donations. Before giving items to anyone who collects, GOV.UK says to check a collecting charity is registered as a lower tier waste carrier, and that any business you pay is an upper tier carrier (GOV.UK: dispose of household waste).
Please don’t clear it up yourself. Report it to Colchester City Council; our fly-tipping in Colchester guide explains how.

Written and checked by Colchester Clearance. We’re an introduction service: we pass clearance enquiries to independent registered waste carriers. We don’t carry out clearances ourselves, and we don’t vet, accredit or vouch for any firm. Every listing links to the organisation’s own website, checked on the date shown at the top. Listings are free and don’t imply any connection with us. This is general information, not legal advice. Spotted something out of date? Email [email protected].
